Quercus rubra
Red Oak can be readily found throughout the eastern United States. Color-wise, this oak variant is slightly redder than its cousin the White Oak and more uniform in color. It’s grain structure is straight with large round, open pores. Flake is less predominant in Red Oak than White Oak.
